One of the best things about this new post-cable television era we’ve been living in since the arrival of platforms like Netflix, Hulu, etc., is that we have more and more access to international movies and series that previously went unnoticed in this country. This is an even greater reason to be happy if you’re studying a language and want to watch content in that language to improve your comprehension skills.
Of course, not everything that glitters is gold, and you’ll come across fantastic productions as well as some that leave much to be desired. That’s why I wanted to share a recommendation from a student who knows a lot about television (after all, she worked in the industry for many years!). She has highly recommended a series originally titled La Templanza, which has been released in the United States under the title The Vineyard.
It is available on Amazon Prime and is a period drama based on the novel by María Dueñas. The series follows the story of Mauro Larrea and Soledad Montalvo, two characters whose destinies intertwine in a journey full of passion, challenges, and second chances, with the world of wine as a backdrop.

Una de las mejores cosas de esta nueva forma de televisión post-cable en la que vivimos desde la llegada de plataformas como Netflix, Hulu, etc., es que cada vez tenemos más acceso a películas y series internacionales que antes simplemente pasaban desapercibidas en este país. Razón de más para estar contentos si estás estudiando un idioma y quieres ver contenido en ese idioma para mejorar tu capacidad de comprensión.
Por supuesto, no es oro todo lo que reluce, y te vas a encontrar con cosas fantásticas y otras que dejan mucho que desear. Por eso, quería compartir una recomendación de una estudiante que sabe mucho de televisión (¡al fin y al cabo, trabajó en televisión durante muchos años!). Me ha recomendado mucho una serie con el título original La Templanza, que en Estados Unidos se ha lanzado con el título The Vineyard.
Está disponible en Amazon Prime y es un drama de época basado en la novela de María Dueñas.
